Yesterday I bought a Logitech HD Pro C920 Webcam that I plan to use to make more YouTube videos as well as team hangouts for people who are on my Empower Network Team.
Today I shot a very short review video just demonstrating the picture and sound quality you can expect form this camera.
The camera does full 1080p HD resolution, but I’m only planning on using it in 720p mode for now, so that’s what I show the video in.
The webcam retails for around $100 and you can find it here.
Here’s the video I recorded:
What do you think?

Hi Paul, I just bought this camera and it should be arriving to me next week. As for mic comparisons, the Yeti mic sounds softer and clearer than the on board mic with the Logitech 920 but the 920 sounds louder. But I’m sure you can up the volume on the Yeti as I’m not sure what settings you had it on when recording for YT.
Great blog post, looking forward to getting my Logitech 920 by the the end of next week for the same purposes. 😀

You’ll like it. The image quality is so crisp. Yes, the volume control on the Yeti is adjustable, and also I can do some “gain” adjustments on the audio in my video editor. I’m actually surprised how clear the audio quality was on the first part of the video where I’m recording on my cell phone. I might investigate further to see if the audio quality on the C920 can be made better. Maybe it’s a compression setting or something.
