My new home gym setup is almost complete, so today I decided to shoot quick video just showing you guys what it looks like.
Sorry for the crappy sound, I didn’t realize I was covering up the mic on the GoPro camera.

One of my favorite books of all time is the book “The Science of Getting Rich” by Wallace Wattles.
In today’s post I want to just randomly pick a quote from the book and then share my perspective on what it means.
Here is the quote I picked randomly:
“Every thought of form, held in thinking Substance, causes the creation of the form, but always, or at least generally, along lines of growth and action already established.”
This is actually one of my favorite quotes from the book so I’m not surprised that I randomly turned to this page and this section. 🙂
What Wallace Wattles is basically saying here is that when we utilize the Law of Attraction to help us manifest what we want in life, the Universe – which he refers to as “thinking substance” – isn’t just going to materialize the thing that you want out of thin air and make it appear in front of you.
At least not usually.
In the majority of cases, when you want something to manifest in your life, the Universe will utilize already established processes, strategies and systems to help you manifest the thing that you want.
Meaning, for example if you wanted to manifest a new car, what the Universe will help you with is firstly making sure that the car that you want is manufactured, and shipped or somehow made available to you for purchase maybe at your local dealership… and secondly it may provide you with a means to earn some extra income in order to be able to afford this new car.
That is an example of an established “process” that already exists for getting a new car.
In this way we are all manifesting things all the time, and to us who are doing it, the process may seem “magical” in the way that things turn out, but for anyone else looking from an outside perspective there is usually nothing “magical” about the process.
I’ll offer an example from my personal life to illustrate how this works.
A few years ago I was doing research on a new type of fitness technology called a vibration plate.
It’s basically a system that allows you to work out and produce better results with strength training and building muscle in a shorter period of time by using vibration technology.
Without going into too much detail on it, essentially I learned that a good quality machine like this would cost me around $3,000 – $5,000.
I wanted one of these machines, so I utilized my understanding of the Law of Attraction to ask the Universe for it, but I had no idea how I would manifest the money to afford it.
A short while later I was at a fitness store picking up a few items, and I got talking to a clerk and I mentioned to him that I’m a Blogger.
He then told me that if I’m a Blogger I might be interested in a contest they were running at their store.
I asked him what kind of contest it was, and he told me it was a contest where you could win a $5,000 elliptical machine / fitness package!
This definitely peaked my interest and I asked him what I had to do in order to compete in this contest.
He told me the details and it didn’t seem very difficult at all. All I had to do was create a few blog posts and/or a video and enter it in.
When I got home that day, I went online to learn more about the contest I had entered, and I noticed that somehow from the time I left the store to the time I got home, the prize in this contest changed from an elliptical machine to a vibration plate machine!
Long story short, I ended up winning this $5,000 fitness package which included a vibration plate machine.
From MY perspective, I *KNOW* this was the Universe helping me to manifest what I wanted, but from anyone else “out there” looking in, if they hear the story from me, they just think “Oh, cool you won a prize…you’re lucky.”
Now, going back to the quote from The Science of Getting Rich… what Wallace Wattles is saying is that when you ask for something, it will come into your life through some methods that are already established (generally speaking), and in my case it came through the form of a contest.
It could have come in the form of me getting an extra $3,000 – $5,000 in income from somewhere so that I can just buy the machine, but in this case it came through this contest.
But even though it was a very magical way to me how this whole thing came about, the machine still didn’t just appear out of thin air and materialize in front of me.
What he is saying is that the things that you want WILL manifest in your life, but you have to participate in the process of getting them. Don’t just sit there on the couch waiting for the item to materialize out of thin air.
For me, the action steps required to get what I wanted required me to firstly GO to the fitness store and then to strike up a conversation with the clerk, and then when I was introduced to the contest I had to decide to participate in it instead of dismissing it and thinking “Oh I never win anything” like most people do.
If you haven’t read “The Science of Getting Rich” I highly recommend it.
In Episode #07 of “Driving With Paul” I share a strategy I learned for conditioning your mind for success.

You’ll be very surprised how much this simple, but ultra effective mind-conditioning exercise will do for you in your life.
Today is my the official first day of my new Manifesting Body Diet and Fitness Plan.
Technically speaking, I announced that I started working on putting together my new diet plan back on February 23rd, which is almost two months ago, but I didn’t actually START the plan until today.
I took that time to get my thinking straight, and to get a whole bunch of stuff prepared and figured out.
The toughest part was changing my mindset / attitude around weight loss and fitness.
I had to do some soul searching, journaling, researching and meditating to get more clarity around what I want to achieve with my new diet and fitness plan.
More importantly, I had to figure out how to change my beliefs and my thinking related to health and fitness so that I can implement a life-long plan into place and not just lose weight for a few months and then gain it back.
Even though I know that I’ll always be working on and tweaking my mindset in this area of life, I do feel confident enough to get started and to see where my new thinking and my new beliefs take me.
Once I got my thinking right, the action steps of getting ready to get started weren’t that hard to implement.
I bought a new strength training gym and got that setup.
I got an infra-red sauna installed, and setup my workout room.
I have been researching and testing out various different nutritional supplements I will need during my journey of re-shaping my body.
I’m also meeting up with and considering hiring a personal trainer to work with me on the strength training side of things.
My starting weight as of this morning is 245.1 lbs and a body fat percentage of 32.8% according to my Fitbit Aria scale.
Now, according to my Skulpt Aim my overall body fat percentage is actually 37%, which is think is probably more accurate than my bathroom scale, but it will be interesting to see how the numbers change as I lose weight and get in better shape.
My MQ (Muscle Quality) scores for all my major muscle groups are shown above… Most of my muscle groups fall into the yellow category which is “average”, except for my calves which are showing up as a a bit lower than average which I find a bit surprising.
I may need to re-run the tests again as I wouldn’t have thought that my calves would get a lower score than for example something like my lower back or my hamstrings which I would have guessed are weaker than average.
In either case, these are all just beginning stats and I’ll see how things change as I make progress.
If you’re wondering how I got these stats, check out this device by clicking here – Skulpt Aim.
I did some testing on various apps I could use to track my meals and calories and the macro-nutrient composition of my meals, and I think I’m going to stick with an app called MyFitnessPal as it seems to do everything I need.
I tried out an app from Weight Watchers which also allows you to track your meals and it breaks them down into their point values, but the problem I found with that app is that it is very slow, and it has a very limited database of food compared to MyFitnessPal, AND you can’t search or add new foods on your mobile device.
Meaning, you can use the online Weight Watchers website application to search their food database and then you can add certain foods to your favorites list, and then the mobile app they have will show you those foods, BUT you can’t just arbitrarily add a food from your app by searching for it.
So if I’m at a restaurant and I want to search for a food I’ve never had before on my phone, I can’t do that with the Weight Watchers app… at least I haven’t been able to figure out any way to do it.
With MyFitnessPal you can do it pretty easily.
If you’re using MyFitnessPal and would like to add me as a friend on there, you can find my MFP Profile here.
One of the benefits of being a blogger is that when you embark on a new journey in your life like the weight loss / fitness journey I’m starting right now, there is an opportunity for you to document your journey by Blogging about it, and to help other people who are on the same journey and potentially even make money by Blogging about it.
If you haven’t already, check out my video on how to get paid to lose weight for more details of how that works.
I’m really excited about my new journey and I’m looking forward to blogging about it as well, so that maybe I can help to inspire someone else to also make the decision to lose weight and get fit and healthy.
